New Mahindra Bolero 2025 Powerful 7-Seater SUV with 32KM/L Mileage Premium Features

Overview

One of Mahindra’s tough, all-purpose SUVs, the Bolero has long been a favorite in semi-urban and rural India. The 2025 edition maintains the rugged, no-nonsense persona while making a few minor adjustments to be current. Although it isn’t a luxury cruiser, it is designed to be strong, practical, and to function effectively in challenging driving and usage circumstances.

Engine & Performance

  • The 1.5-liter diesel engine (mHawk75) powers the Bolero 2025.
  • In the lower revband (about 1600–2200 rpm), the three-cylinder diesel engine produces 210 Nm of torque and approximately 74.96 bhp at 3600 rpm.
  • There is only a 5-speed manual transmission. No automatic choice as of yet. In keeping with the Bolero’s conventional setup, rear-wheel drive is also included.

Highway or mixed conditionsProbably a bit better; some sources suggest real-world “17-18 kmpl” in favourable conditions. But these will vary.

Variants And Colour

Variants

The 2025 Bolero comes in three variants:

  1. B4 (base)
  2. B6 (mid)
  3. B6 Opt (B6(O).

As you progress from B4 to B6 to B6 Opt, the features increase, including some creature comforts, body-colored ORVMs, decals, and better grille treatments. However, functionality comes before luxury in this case.

Colours

Based on current listings, Bolero 2025 is available in three colors. The palette isn’t that large. I can attempt to retrieve the precise color names for your city if you would want me to.

Price

The following pricing information is ex-showroom and approximate for major cities; prices may differ according on your state and taxes:

VariantPrice (Ex-showroom)
B4 (base)~ ₹ 9.81 lakh
B6~ ₹ 10.00 lakh
B6 Opt~ ₹ 10.90-11.0 lakh

Depending on your city, the on-road cost (including insurance, road tax, etc.) will be greater (Chandigarh will have its own state charges). According to certain sources, the top variant’s on-road price ranges from ₹11.5 lakh to over ₹13.4 lakh.

Features

Bolero’s features are simple but adequate for many people because it was designed with functionality rather than high-end luxury in mind. Highlights of some of the features include:

  • Power steering.
  • Higher models have power windows (front). basic windows in the base version.
  • Manual air conditioner + heater.
  • Digital instrument cluster / MID (for speed, trip, mileage etc.).
  • Basic audio includes Bluetooth, USB, and AUX on a single DIN system. The regular Bolero does not have a large touchscreen.
  • Safety features include two front airbags, ABS, and standard alerts (such as seat belts and speed warnings).

Expected EMI Plans

Just to be realistic, how much would it cost you each month? As an example, I’ll lay out a simple EMI strategy assuming you desire the mid-variant B6, but you can modify it to fit your preferred model.

  • In Chandigarh, the B6’s on-road price is around ₹11.80 lakh, which includes ex-showroom, state tax, insurance, and other expenses; the precise amount may vary.
  • 20% of the on-road price is the down payment.
  • Interest rates on loans range from 10.5% to 11.5% annually, depending on the bank and your credit score.
  • Loan term: 60 months, or 5 years.
Down PaymentLoan AmountInterest RateTenureApprox Monthly EMI
20% of ₹ 11.80 lakh = ₹ 2.36 lakh₹ 9.44 lakh~10.5-11.5% p.a.60 months₹ 20,000-₹ 22,000 /- per month

The numbers will change if you choose the base variant, the top variant (B6 Opt), or alter the down payment.

Availability & Launch

  • In many cities, the Bolero is already on the market and for sale.
  • Early in 2025, a facelifted and improved Bolero Neo model is rumored to be coming with additional features, potentially AMT, finer interiors, etc. Sometimes waiting helps if you don’t need the functionality right now. However, the Bolero 2025 is a good SUV if you need one right now.
